About Us
The Czech Institute for Biosynthetic Psychotherapy was founded in 2007 with the aim to promote Biosynthetic Psychotherapy, an internationally accredited psychotherapy method, in the Czech Republic. Since 2014, the Czech Institute for Biosynthetic Psychotherapy has been one of only two institutions in the Czech Republic accredited by the European Association for Psychotherapy.
As a European Accredited Psychotherapy Training Institute (EAPTI), the Czech Institute for Biosynthetic Psychotherapy may award the European Certificate for Psychotherapy (ECP).
The main activity of the Czech Institute for Biosynthetic Psychotherapy is the organization of psychotherapy training in Biosynthetic Psychotherapy in accordance with the standards of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and the application of Biosynthesis in the education of professionals and the general public.
Other activities:
- Training, education and supervision of therapists and cooperation with therapists providing psychotherapy to our candidates
- Organization of training cycles and workshops for professionals and the general public;
- Collection and management of books, research articles and other study materials, translation and publishing of texts on Biosynthetic Psychotherapy;
- Promotion of Biosynthetic Psychotherapy during industry conferences and workshops, lecturing on the method;
- Support of international cooperation in the field of Biosynthetic Psychotherapy.
The social clinic
VThe Czech Institute for Biosynthetic Psychotherapy founded The Social Clinic in 2014. The objective of the non-profit organization is to provide psychotherapy access to people in need who cannot afford commercial treatment. The Social Clinic provides short-term psychotherapy lasting up to 12 sessions over a 6 to 9 month period of psychotherapeutic care.
The Social Clinic team consists of fully-trained therapists working as volunteers and therapists who are trained in crisis intervention that have worked at various crisis centers in the past. Most Social Clinic therapists are CIBP graduates.

Ethics Committee
The Ethics Committee is elected by the Board of Directors for a term of three years. Members may stand for re-election. The Institute’s website lists the committee members and e-mail contacts where complaints, suggestions, and inquiries can be submitted. Individual members of the committee can be assigned to handle specific suggestions or complaints.
